idea/

 

                       the needs of customers to intervene are determined by the logic dictated by globalization, & by the evolution of the sino-asian urban scenario. the need for a commercial financial district area (cbd), the focal point of yanan’s urban economic activities, has allowed the project to be implemented. unlike the appropriate requests, yanan has never been willing to lose its essence & its ecological dna, in fact, the attention towards environmental quality by combining it with functional needs has always remained a fundamental request of the project. reasoning on these needs, from an urban point of view the area was essentially subdivided by two main perpendicular roads in the north south direction the first and east west the second, composing it in four spaces: landmark tower and commercial, comemrciale & hotel, residential & finally offices. strategically the volumetric development is mainly based on a vertical ordering, leaving a strong horizontality of the spaces & obviously of the flows to the commercial blocks, oriented north south so that they can communicate between the landmark tower block & hotel. attention to the important history of the area is suggested by garden pavilions, which take in the shapes & proportions the arches of the famous “yaodong”, typical rural houses of the plateau of the loess but above all of yanan. the green then winds around the volumes, creating compositions & visuals at different heights, surprising with unexplained views, guaranteeing both aesthetic & environmental quality, regenerating the classical conception of the financial districts present in china.
