                      the intervention stands as a catalyst, as well as a symbolic building for the city of baoji. located between the linear park that stands along the river wei & the new commercial district, the project aims to be a functional ecological connection, maintaining a constant visual relationship with the pagoda, the main historical pre-existence of the city, but also physical given that the project of landscape connects the two areas. the logics that determine the project are linked to aerodynamic requirements, given that the town develops in a valley between the mountains of the shaanxi and the winds blow mainly from east to west. consequently a wrapping & cover design was envisaged capable of diverting the air pressure towards the outside & at the same time composed through a play of overlapping surfaces to allow & guarantee diffused brightness to the environments and permeability, characteristics obtained by studying & simulating the wing composition of birds. functionally the program is organized by hosting commercial activities on the ground floor, with an adjoining parking area on the lower floor, while starting from the first level there are accesses to the main theater & to the auditorium, both with a multifunctional stage capable of assuming different settings according to needs. the complexity of landscape design is determined by the bridged connections with the areas to the north & east of the lot, moreover the constant presence of vegetation, artificial lakes, open-air theaters require the constant presence of commercial services & refreshment areas set between ramps, depressions & morphological depressions of the land, maintaining a constant visual continuity in the area.<\/p>\n
