                      the project is strategically developed as a precise spatial idea, merging together the traditional chinese architectural forms & volumes, of the existing building, with contemporary spatial & technologic solutions. the aim is to create a threshold able to introduce gradually the people inside the mall, conceiving this area as an informal space, in between building & plaza. this solution is a spatial addition to the existing building. technically it is a screen of louvres which own the function to filter the direct sunlight during the day & precisely bound the area with an innovative design shape, creating an interaction between tradition & modernity.
